Prompt repair of potholes, cracks, and surface defects to prevent them from expanding and causing further damage.

Remove all loose materials and excess materials from the potholes.

Marking an outline to delineate a rectangular or square shape around the pothole.

The edges of the area shall be cut at 50mm from outer edge of pothole and shaped using the pavement cutter.

Scrape and clean the vertical edges of the cut to ensure no loose material and use blower to clear debris of the surrounding area.

The bituminous tack coat shall be sprayed uniformly in the range of 0.25 to 0.55 litre/sq.m on the cleaned bituminous or bitumen prime surface.

Hot or cold mix asphalt shall be used to fill the cut-out area and compacted to match with the level of the adjacent section.

The compaction shall be carried using suitable compactor to achieve the compacted density of the hot mix shall be in the range of 90-100% of Marshall Density.
